WHY SHARE THIS RENOVATION?

A few people have asked me why I decided to document the renovations of Chestnut Street. I guess for me, I see this house as much more than my future family home. My family were original settlers to Sewickley. Outside of college and a few years early in my career, I have lived here my whole life. This is one of the oldest homes in Sewickley, one with a rich history, and one that is well known among the community. Knowing how much I love renovations shows (much to my husbands chagrin), I thought it would be fun to share our journey with the community. As a Realtor®, I often have clients who want to renovate a home but have fears regarding the process or don’t know where to start, what vendors to use. I thought this would be a good way to take some of the mystery and fear out of renovating an old home. I also love to support local vendors and businesses as much as possible and this allows me to work directly with partners and provide information on their services.
